I grew up in several different states as a youth, I faced the challenges of life in foster care, which required me to become independent at a young age. Amid the instability, the kitchen became my sanctuary. Cooking started as a practical skill—I had to learn how to prepare meals for myself—but it quickly turned into something much more meaningful. Each meal I created gave me a sense of control, accomplishment, and comfort in an otherwise uncertain world.
As I experimented with recipes, explored flavors, and taught myself new techniques, I discovered the joy of creating something that could bring not only nourishment but also happiness. Cooking became my way of expressing creativity and finding peace, transforming from a necessity into a true passion. In my free time when most youth my age would be watching cartoons, I would be glued to cooking shows and food travel shows. This passion for the culinary world eventually grew into a career. Today as "BLANK CATERING", my journey in the culinary world is deeply rooted in the resilience and self-reliance I developed during my childhood. My story is a testament to how having a blank canvas to just "BE" can spark a love for something beautiful and meaningful—like the art of
cooking.
Blank catering started from my small studio apartment at the top of 2023 as extra income and at the time I only offered meal prep services to family and close friends. I mostly offered custom services but also suggested dishes based on my taste. As the demand grew for my services outside of my personal circle my team and space followed. I now have my own service kitchen based in Los Angeles where food is prepared for private events, dining and meal prep of course.
